Business Management Fundamentals is the opening subject of the IMBA program and a cornerstone of the international trade curriculum. Emphasis is placed on strategic thinking, responsible leadership, and sustainable practices, while fostering a deep understanding of the economic and geopolitical dynamics that shape global markets. International Strategy & Management builds on the foundations of business fundamentals to develop students’ ability to manage and lead in global markets. The course combines strategic thinking with analytical tools to address the complexities of international business.

Students learn how to interpret market data, apply business analytics, and design effective strategies through modules on Market Research, Analytics, and Business Planning. A strong emphasis is placed on structured decision-making and practical application, including early preparation for the final capstone project.

The subject also introduces Project Management using the PMI framework, along with hands-on experience in Power BI and a market simulation, giving students practical insight into global business dynamic.

One Program, two global gateways to the future of business. The International Extension is a defining feature of the IMBA experience, offering students the opportunity to immerse themselves in two of the world’s most dynamic business ecosystems: Shanghai, China, and Tallinn, Estonia. Over the course of one month, participants engage in intensive academic study, cultural immersion, company visits, and networking activities—all within AMBA-accredited institutions.

This global experience is not only a cultural deep dive but a direct bridge to the Final Project, where students will develop and pitch their own startup informed by the innovation, strategy, and technological insights gained during this extension.

This course enhances employability through training activities focused on developing key skills for the professional environment. As part of your learning journey, you will have the opportunity to access additional spaces for knowledge and networking by selecting — from a list of masterclasses, workshops, and events — the activities that best align with your professional interests and development goals within the program.

The project is a real business venture that represents a challenge in which the student must demonstrate, in a cross-functional manner, that the learning objectives have been achieved and all the competencies acquired throughout the program have been developed.

Students are expected to focus on a key area of personal and professional interest in order to design, develop, implement, and evaluate a business plan.

Our campus in Madrid was inaugurated in 2021 and has 36 classrooms, an auditorium for 300 people, 16 work rooms, 5 meeting points, gym, mindfulness room, cafeteria and much more. Our classrooms are full of students from our master's and postgraduate programs specializing in marketing, management, and technology.
