La Teoría del Stakeholder o de los Grupos de Interés, pieza clave de la RSE, del éxito empresarial y de la sostenibilidad

Con todas sus lagunas y limitaciones, la RSE constituye una manera más rica de entender las relaciones entre la empresa y la sociedad: una forma más compleja de comprender la labor de la dirección: y un modo más coherente de buscar la sostenibilidad de los negocios y de los procesos económicos. Si hubiera que señalar un elemento clave como diferenciador y fundamento sobre el que articular las intuiciones de este paradigma de empresa emergente, probablemente sería difícil encontrar otro más apropiado que el concepto de Stakeholder o de los Grupos de Interés. Poder, urgencia y legitimidad matizarán la prelación a la hora de atender las demandas de parte de aquéllos. Este artículo desarrolla el concepto y recoge los resultados de un empeño académico que viene siendo llevado a cabo desde hace un cuarto de siglo. Se pone en relación con la voluntad estratégica de gestionar las relaciones entre la empresa y sus grupos de interés no sólo como requerimiento estratégico, sino también como exigencia ética y de responsabilidad.
