Financial Analysis and International Trade Finance are key subjects in the Finance for Trade Business module. You will learn to interpret financial statements, assess profitability, and manage risks. In parallel, you’ll explore trade finance tools—such as credit, insurance, and payment methods—to support global operations, including innovations like blockchain. Together, these courses prepare you to manage internal finances and navigate international trade complexities.

In this subject, you will learn to identify, create, and implement the necessary plans to generate value derived from the strategy defined in the Global Management module. You will start with the definition of international marketing and commercial plans, the forecast of demand, and the quantification of commercial objectives in a particular selected market, which will be supported in the decisions and plans about products, services, prices, customer experience, channels, communication, and actions to generate this demand.

Leadership and Personal Development equips students with essential skills to succeed in global business, including negotiation, communication, leadership, critical thinking, and cross-cultural management. The course focuses on negotiation strategies and conflict resolution, adapting to different cultural and business contexts. It also emphasizes self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ethical leadership to foster collaboration. Global Supply Chain and Trade Policy prepares students to navigate international markets, optimise operations, and manage global trade complexities. You will learn to manage cross-border logistics, sourcing, and trade regulations, including INCOTERMS and risk management. The course also covers strategic operations such as demand planning, inventory, and Lean processes, integrating technologies like Industry 4.0. Additionally, you will explore trade agreements, tariffs, and the role of institutions like the WTO, applying tools like AI and blockchain to analyse and respond to global trade dynamics.
This subject provides an in-depth exploration of the operational dimension of international business, equipping students with analytical and strategic tools needed to improve decision-making and efficiency in global contexts. The course focuses on five key areas: Business Analytics, to interpret and leverage data for performance improvement; Storytelling with Data, to communicate insights effectively and support persuasive decision-making; Marketing Management, from an operational perspective; International Purchasing and Procurement, addressing supplier relations, cost control, and sourcing strategies; and Inventory Management, with techniques to optimise stock levels and supply chain responsiveness. Together, these topics prepare students to manage complex operations with a data-driven and value-oriented mindset.

This course enhances employability through training activities focused on developing key skills for the professional environment. As part of your learning journey, you will have the opportunity to access additional spaces for knowledge and networking by selecting — from a list of masterclasses, workshops, and events — the activities that best align with your professional interests and development goals within the programme.
The main objective is to design a Business Plan (BP) for the internationalization of a non-existing product from an existing company. The BP must target at least one non-EU country, though either the origin or destination may be in Europe. It can involve launching a new company, business unit, or market entry strategy. It bridges to the professional world by enhancing research, critical thinking, ethical judgment, and leadership aligned with global business need, while students apply knowledge to strategic challenges, conduct applied research, propose innovative solutions, make ethical decisions, and lead effectively using theory, data, and advanced resources.

Master’s degree from ESIC University
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded the Master’s Degree in Continuous Education in International Business, issued by ESIC University*. This Master's degree is a non-official qualification and does not grant access to doctoral programs.
