Diversity Charter in Spain

ESIC joined the Diversity Charter in Spain in July 26th, 2011. The Charter is a European initiative that adheres to the anti-discrimination legislation adopted by the European Union in the year 2000, and is endorsed by the Department of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission.

It was created as a commitment framework to which the companies and institutions adhere voluntarily to encourage diversity and anti-discrimination policies in the working environment.

By signing the diversity charter, ESIC publicly commits to a Decalogue of principles that include, among others, the commitment to:

ESIC, sumándose a esta iniciativa se compromete a mantener y mejorar sus políticas de gestión de la diversidad en pro de  generar capacidad e innovación, crear un clima de satisfacción y conciliación para toda la plantilla, reducir los costes operativos, aumentar la eficacia de la organización y medir, cuantitativamente y cualitativamente su impacto en la cuenta de resultados además de cumplir las normativas vigentes en materia de igualdad de oportunidades. Apoyando  la gestión de la diversidad como un imperativo empresarial, social y legal.

EQUAL

ESIC is part of the community initiative EQUAL, promoting new methods to fight against discrimination and inequalities of all kinds at the workplace. This initiative is enclosed within the European Community policies as regards employment and social matters.
