The Master in Digital Marketing is an innovative, academically sound, practice-driven, and digital marketing-focused programme, reflecting the current challenges of the marketplace.
The main objective of the MDM is to help and support students to make the transition into strategic management, in the area of digital marketing in particular. By completing the MDM, participants will gain the key skills and knowledge to evaluate, manage, and implement digital marketing strategies while strengthening their ability to face and solve complex challenges in an increasingly globalised/digitalised marketing environment.
“The Master in Digital Marketing provides certain skills that you will need in the coming years, in areas that are becoming the major issues in companies right now –e-commerce, SEO, SEM, social media...-. The amount of positions that companies are creating regarding the digital world will expand in the near future: once you attend this Master you will be able to provide those skills, which meet companies’ current and future needs.”

Outstanding specialised professionals as lectures
We seek to bring business reality to the classroom. To this end, our teaching staff includes a selection of top professionals who are currently working in each discipline and will share with their students practical cases, real world lessons and techniques, and the experience they have acquired in management positions in leading companies in each sector. The Directors and Coordinators will also be there to guide students throughout the course.
International learning experience
Corporate learning experience
The MDM includes the Intra & Entrepreneurship and World Market Workshops, a series of talks on Emerging Themes, Agile Methodologies, Growth Hacking, Current Economic Situation, New Trends in Consumption, etc offered by guest speakers on their experiences in these areas.
These events take the form of guest speakers from renowned national and international companies, entrepreneurs, or government officials, practitioner-oriented conferences, or national events.
In addition to networking with teaching staff, many Digital Economy Institute of ESIC students are also professionals and will have the same concerns as you: passionate about the digital world and with the drive and motivation to learn and develop important skills and responsibilities in digital business management.
Throughout its 20 years, the Institute has established a wide Digital Economy Institute of ESIC Community with over 20,000 professionals, including alumni, current students, professors and professionals in the field of digital economy. Moreover, the Institute is in contact with leading organisations and companies in order to offer added value and foster networking among all participants.
Learning by thinking, reflecting and doing
The teaching methodology is eminently practical. During the sessions, teachers–professionals will make their students think, discuss, reflect upon and work on the most relevant aspects of the content through group exercises and practical assignments based on real experiences of Spanish, European and Latin American companies.
We have developed our own e-learning platform, Digital Economy Institute of ESIC Virtual Classroom: an exclusive and personalised space where you can complement in-person lessons or even take them completely online. The Virtual Classroom will grant you access to:
Real projects from real brands
Every Masters Course, Advanced Program and Specialised Online Course held at Digital Economy Institute of ESIC –except for specialised, in-person courses– will include practical applications of the material learnt in class. Students will carry out group projects, based on real companies with real challenges, illustrating the program’s disciplines. Throughout the course, there will be some workshop sessions reserved for practical assignments and to advance on the tutored project. The projects will be presented to a panel of professionals.
The final project takes the form of a 16,000-word individual project (digital business plan in a digitalized world) due the last week of September. The purpose of this project is to take participants onto the next stage of professional development while helping them to grow from a behavioural perspective.
The participants can choose among the following options to complete the programme:
The structure of the degree programme has been designed to engage participants in a cumulative process of developing skills and knowledge through a sequence of complementary stages. The degree programme is divided into six main taught modules; the MDM concludes with a final project. These six modules are devised for participants to develop foundational knowledge, critical awareness of current problems and/or new insights, and general intellectual skills and attributes necessary for that knowledge and understanding; they also cover a range of practical, professional, and transferable skills.
The MDM includes the hours for intra & entrepreneurship workshops and also for world market workshops. The curriculum fulfils EQUAL’s Guidelines on contact hours, credits, content, and especially on integration and personal competences. The structure of the curriculum can be seen in this link.
