ESIC BUSINESS & MARKETING SCHOOL is a University Centre with a significant presence throughout Spain and receives numerous applications from international students every year. In order to facilitate the admission process, with these steps we want to provide you with the information in the best possible way.
If you are a student from a pre-university education system other than the Spanish one, you will need to meet each of the requirements to study one of ESIC's university degrees. In this section we explain, step by step, how to enrol at ESIC.
So that you can plan your studies in the best possible way and have time to prepare your documentation, we would like to remind you that the academic year in Spain starts in September and ends in June.
Even if you have not completed the Spanish Bachillerato, IB Diploma, A levels, Baccalaureate, Maturitá or equivalent education system, you can still take the admission tests and then reserve your place up to finalising your documentation before the set dates.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO OUR COURSES
It is essential that the linguistic requirement is met by the candidate in order to be admitted to any of our degree courses.

DEGREE COURSES TAUGHT IN ENGLISH
- Minimum B2 (English)
DEGREE COURSES TAUGHT BILINGUALLY
- Minimum B1+/ B1 HIGH (English).

If you have an official language certificate that is no more than two years old it will be valid and you will not need to take our internal language test. If you do not have an official language certificate, you will be required to do an internal level test through the ESIC Language Area.
Valid qualifications for English:
Cambridge English First, Advanced and Proficiency, IELTS. TOEFL and TOEIC.
Valid qualifications for Spanish:
DELE B2, DELE C1 and DELE C2
To start the admissions process you must first make an appointment with the admissions team. You can do this online or by phone. Choose the campus where you wish to study for your degree.
The admission process can be done online or in person at any of our campuses and consists of a personal interview, a business case study and an English test*.
*An English test is not exclusive in the case of degrees taught in Spanish.

Once you have requested your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with all the steps to follow.
ADMISSION TESTS.
No previous preparation is necessary. On the date and time requested, you will receive an email with a link to our platform if you take the test online. If you take the test in person, we will be waiting for you at the Undergraduate Admissions Department of the selected Campus.
DECISION.
Once all the phases of the admission tests have been completed, we will inform you of the decision within 72 hours (3 working days).
The tests are held individually from Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 12:30 and from 15:00 to 17:30 (Spanish peninsular time). Remember, always by appointment.
Once the appointment has been made, a confirmation email will be sent with the documentation required for the test and the steps to follow.
WHAT DO THE ADMISSION TESTS CONSIST OF?
The ESIC Admission Test can be taken in Spanish or English, depending on the language you will be studying your degree course in. The test lasts approximately one and a half hours and does not require any previous preparation. The admission test is divided into FOUR PARTS.
- 01 Personal Interview: The purpose of this interview is to tell us about the candidate's profile, their affinity with their chosen degree course and their degree of motivation to study at ESIC.
- 02 Practical or Business Case: this test focusses mainly on the candidate's writing skills, reasoning and expression and not so much on the candidate's knowledge or mastery of the subject.
- 03 Test of oral and written English: this test will enable us to assess the candidate's language level. English-speaking students applying to study a degree in English will not need to take a level test.
- 04Oral and written Spanish test: it will enable us to establish the candidate’s language level. For English-speaking students who apply to study on a degree course in English, they will not need to take a level test.
The rest of the candidates who have an official English certificate will not need to take this language test.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
It is important that you have the following documentation ready a few days before you apply for your appointment (either in digital format for online testing, or in paper format):
- Passport or NIE.
- Baccalaureate or equivalent.
- Requirement of Legal Access to a Spanish University*. (Recognition of the definitive Foreign Baccalaureate or definitive UNED Accreditation).
(If you wish to study for the *Degree in Global Marketing, it will not be necessary to have the Spanish university access qualification but it will be necessary to hold the Baccalaureate or equivalent).

If you do not have the Legal Requirement for Access to the Spanish University* (Recognition of the Foreign Baccalaureate or a definitive UNED accreditation) your admission will be conditional until this has been obtained in full, within the deadlines set.
The reservation of the candidate’s place must be paid once they have received notification of the admission decision and before the date indicated there. If payment is not made on time, the place cannot be guaranteed. This notification will list the steps to follow for reserving a place and the next formalities.
The reservation fee will be refunded if the student has not passed the Baccalaureate, Vocational Training or similar, or the corresponding university entrance exam.
The enrolment fee will have to be paid once the student has fulfilled one of the legal requirements for access to a Spanish university (Recognition of the definitive Foreign Baccalaureate or definitive UNED Accreditation). For this purpose, the Undergraduate Student Services Office will inform students of all the steps to follow.
The enrolment period may vary depending on each ESIC campus. We recommend that you contact the corresponding campus to find out the exact enrolment dates.
ESIC has a collaboration agreement with a Consultant on Recognition and Legalisation of academic documents for your access. This agency is an expert in obtaining the legal requirements for university access (UNED ACCREDITATION and RECOGNITION OF DEFINITIVE FOREIGN BACCALAUREATE).
At ESIC we offer this alternative so that you can process the legalisation of your documents in an easier and safer way. This procedure can take a long time and if documents are missing, your application may be rejected by the corresponding body.
It is important to bear in mind that if you do not meet these legal access requirements, which are necessary for your enrolment, you will not be able to start your studies with us. Depending on the pre-university education system you come from, you will need to meet one legal requirement or another.
Students coming from European education systems, including the IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate) and China must present the definitive UNED ACCREDITATION. The body that manages this ACCREDITATION is the UNED (Spanish National Open University).

For students coming from the Chinese education system who cannot accredit the GAO KAO, their access route will be through the Recognition of Foreign Baccalaureate through the MECD.
However, students from other education systems who do not appear in the previous point above must submit the DEFINITIVE RECOGNITION OF THE FOREIGN BACCALAUREATE. The body that manages this RECOGNITION is the MECD (Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport).
IMPORTANT: THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORT takes between 3 and 6 months to issue the decision (most often 6 months), so our recommendation is that you do the paperwork as soon as possible so that your Definitive Recognition of Foreign Baccalaureate is on time and you can enrol without any problem.
* ESIC is a private education centre attached to different universities in each of its campuses so the admission and final enrolment of international students to study on a degree course is subject to the requirements, regulations and fees that these universities set for the corresponding academic year.
If you would like to study for the Degree in Global Marketing, candidates will not need the two above requirements for access to a Spanish university, it will only be necessary to submit the approved and apostilled Baccalaureate certificate.
WHAT DO THE ADMISSION TESTS CONSIST OF?
The ESIC Admission Test can be taken in Spanish or English, depending on the language in which you are going to study the university degree. They last approximately one and a half hours and do not require any previous preparation.
If you are a student who lives or resides outside the province/Autonomous Community where ESIC has a campus, you can take the tests online.

WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED?

- Transcript of Records.
- Certificate of successful completion of the Spanish University Entrance Test for Over 25s.
- Definitive UNED Accreditation.
- Recognition of a definitive foreign baccalaureate result.
*If you do not have any of these requirements for access to the Spanish university system, you can take the admission tests without any problem, but remember that admission will be conditional until you obtain a positive result within the established deadlines.
- Official English Certificate.
(If you do not have an official English certificate, we will give you an internal language test).
*To take the admission tests it will not be necessary to have the university entrance requirement at that time. If you choose a degree course, it will be necessary to submit the corresponding Spanish university entrance requirement. If you wish to study the course for the Degree in Global Marketing Management, you do not need to meet the Spanish university entrance requirement.
WHEN DO I RESERVE MY PLACE?
The decision on the admission test will be communicated within 72 hours / three working days. If the decision is favourable, the amount corresponding to the place reservation must be paid before the indicated date. If the payment is not made on time, the place cannot be guaranteed.
The reservation fee will be refunded if the student has not passed the Spanish Bachillerato, Vocational Training. or similar, or the corresponding university entrance exam.
I ALREADY HAVE THE UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE REQUIREMENT, CAN I REGISTER?
The registration fee will have to be paid once the student has obtained one of the university entrance requirements (EvAU /SELECTIVIDAD, Vocational Training, Spanish University Entrance for over 25s, Final UNED Accreditation, or definitive recognition of the Foreign Baccalaureate). To do this, the Undergraduate Students Office will notify the student of all the steps to follow.

Si eres un estudiante procedente de un sistema educativo preuniversitario diferente al español, será necesario que cumplas con cada uno de los requisitos exigidos para estudiar una de las Titulaciones Universitarias de ESIC. En esta sección te explicamos paso a paso como inscribirte en ESIC.
Para que puedas planificarte de la mejor manera posible y tener tiempo en la preparación de tus documentos, queremos recordarte que los cursos académicos en España comienzan desde septiembre y finalizan en junio.
Aunque no tengas terminado el Bachillerato, IB Diploma, A levels, Baccalaureate, Maturitá o sistema educativo equivalente, podrás realizar las pruebas de admisión y posteriormente realizar la reserva de plaza, hasta completar tu documentación en las fechas establecidas.

Es imprescindible que el requisito lingüístico se alcance por parte del candidato para poder ingresar en cualquiera de nuestras carreras.

En caso de tener un certificado oficial de idiomas de no más de dos años de antigüedad será válido y no necesitarás realizar nuestra prueba interna de idioma. En caso de no tener un certificado oficial de idioma, se realizaría una prueba interna de nivel a través del Área de ESIC idiomas

Para iniciar el proceso de admisión debes solicitar una cita previamente con el equipo de admisiones. Puedes hacerlo por internet o por teléfono. Elige el campus en el que deseas realizar tus estudios de grado.
El proceso de admisión se puede realizar de manera online o presencial en cualquiera de nuestras sedes y consiste en una entrevista personal, un caso práctico de empresa y una *pruebas de inglés.
*Prueba de inglés no excluyente para carreras impartidas en castellano.

PRUEBAS DE ADMISIÓN.
No es necesario preparación previa. En el día y hora solicitado, recibirás un email con un enlace a nuestra plataforma si la realizas online. Si realizas la prueba presencial te esperaremos en el Dpto. de Admisiones de Grado del Campus seleccionado.
RESOLUCIÓN.
Una vez realizadas todas las fases de las pruebas de admisión, te comunicaremos la resolución en 72h (3 días laborables.)
Las pruebas se realizan de manera individual de lunes a viernes de 9:30 a 12:30 y de 15:00 a 17:30 (hora española peninsular). Recuerda, siempre con cita previa.

¿EN QUÉ CONSISTEN LAS PRUEBAS DE ADMISIÓN?
La prueba de admisión de ESIC puede realizarse tanto en español como en inglés, siempre dependerá del idioma en el que vayas a estudiar el grado universitario. La duración es aproximadamente de una hora y media y no necesitan de una preparación previa. La prueba de admisión se divide en CUATRO FASES.
- 01 Entrevista Personal: tiene como finalidad conocer el perfil del candidato, su afinidad con la carrera elegida y su grado de motivación para estudiar en ESIC.
- 02 Caso Práctico o Business Case: esta prueba se centra sobre todo en la capacidad de redacción, razonamiento y de expresión que tiene el candidato y no tanto en el conocimiento o el dominio de la materia.
- 03 Test de Inglés oral y escrito: permitirá conocer el nivel de idioma del candidato. Para aquellos alumnos angloparlantes que soliciten estudiar una carrera en inglés, no necesitarán realizar prueba de nivel.
Para el resto de candidatos que posean un certificado oficial de inglés, no necesitará realizar esta prueba de idioma. - 04 Test de Español oral y escrito: permitirá conocer el nivel de idioma del candidato. Para aquellos alumnos angloparlantes que soliciten estudiar una carrera en inglés, no necesitarán realizar prueba de nivel.
Para el resto de candidatos que posean un certificado oficial de inglés, no necesitará realizar esta prueba de idioma.
DOCUMENTACIÓN REQUERIDA
Será importante que tengas preparado unos días antes de solicitar tu cita previa, la siguiente documentación (ya sea en formato digital para prueba online o físico):
- Pasaporte o NIE.
- Notas de Bachillerato o del sistema educativo equivalente.
- Requisito de Acceso Legal a la Universidad Española*. (Homologación del Bachillerato Extranjero Definitiva o Acreditación UNED definitiva).
(En caso de querer estudiar el *Título Superior en Marketing Global, no será necesario requisito de acceso a la universidad española, pero si el bachillerato o correspondiente). Consulta este documento para mayor información. - Certificado Oficial de Inglés.
(En caso de no tener certificado de inglés oficial, podrás realizar nuestra prueba de idiomas interna)
En caso de que te falte el Requisito Legal de Acceso a la Universidad Española* (Homologación del Bachillerato Extranjero Definitiva o Acreditación UNED definitiva) la admisión será condicionada hasta su obtención total, en los plazos establecidos.
La reserva de plaza deberá ser abonada una vez que el candidato haya recibido el comunicado de la resolución de admisión y antes de la fecha indicada en el mismo. En caso de no realizar el ingreso en plazo no se podrá garantizar la plaza. En dicho comunicado vendrán los pasos a seguir para la realización de la reserva de plaza y los trámites siguientes.
El importe de la reserva de plaza será devuelto en el caso de que el alumno no haya superado el Bachillerato, Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior o similar o la correspondiente prueba de acceso a la universidad.
El importe de la matricula tendrá que ser abonado una vez que el alumno tenga uno de los requisitos de acceso legal a la universidad española (Homologación del Bachillerato Extranjero Definitiva o Acreditación UNED definitiva). Para ello la Oficina de Atención al Alumno de Grado comunicará al alumno todos los pasos a seguir.
El período de matriculación podría variar dependiendo de cada campus ESIC, te recomendamos que te pongas en contacto con el campus correspondiente para conocer las fechas exactas de la matriculación.
ESIC cuenta con un acuerdo de colaboración con una Consultora de Homologación y Legalización de documentos académicos para tu acceso. Esta agencia es experta en la obtención de requisitos legales de acceso a la universidad (ACREDITACIÓN UNED y HOMOLOGACIÓN DE BACHILLERATO EXTRANJERO DEFINITIVO).
Desde ESIC ponemos a disposición esta alternativa para que tramites tu legalización de documentos de una manera más fácil y segura. Este trámite puede extenderse en tiempos y en el caso de que falten documentos, puede ser denegada tu solicitud por el organismo correspondiente.
Es importante que tengas en cuenta que, si no tienes estos requisitos de acceso legal, necesarios para tu matricula, no podrás comenzar tus estudios con nosotros. Según el sistema educativo preuniversitario del que provengas, necesitarás un determinado requisito legal u otro.
Aquellos alumnos procedentes de Sistemas Educativos Europeos, incluido el IB Diploma (Bachillerato Internacional) y China deberán presentar la ACREDITACIÓN UNED definitiva. El organismo que gestiona dicha ACREDITACIÓN es la UNED (Universidad Nacional Española a Distancia).

Para aquellos alumnos procedentes del sistema educativo chino que no puedan acreditar el GAO KAO, su vía de acceso será mediante la Homologación de Bachillerato Extranjero a través del MECD.
Sin embargo, los alumnos procedentes de otros sistemas educativos que no aparezcan en el anterior punto deberán entregar la HOMOLOGACIÓN DEL BACHILLER EXTRANJERO DEFINITIVA. El organismo que gestiona dicha HOMOLOGACIÓN es el MECD (Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte).
IMPORTANTE: EL MINISTERIO DE EDUCACIÓN, CULTURA Y DEPORTE tarda en emitir la resolución entre 3 y 6 meses (siendo en su mayoría 6 meses), por lo que nuestra recomendación es que realices los trámites lo antes posible para que tu Homologación del Bachiller Extranjero Definitiva este en plazo y así poderte matricular sin ningún problema.
* ESIC es un centro privado adscrito a diferentes Universidades en cada uno de sus campus por lo que la admisión e inscripción final de alumnos internacionales para estudiar un Grado Oficial queda condicionada a los requisitos, normativas y tasas que estas universidades establezcan para el año académico correspondiente.
En el caso de querer estudiar el Título Superior en Marketing Global el candidato no necesitará los dos anteriores requisitos de acceso a la universidad española, únicamente será necesario entregar el Certificado de Bachillerato aprobado y apostillado.

¿EN QUÉ CONSISTEN LAS PRUEBAS DE ADMISIÓN?
La prueba de admisión de ESIC puede realizarse tanto en español como en inglés, siempre dependerá del idioma en el que vayas a estudiar el grado universitario. La duración es aproximadamente de una hora y media y no necesitan de una preparación previa.
En caso de que seas un estudiante que vivas o residas fuera de la Provincia/Comunidad Autónoma donde ESIC tiene campus, podrás realizar las pruebas de manera online.
La prueba de admisión se divide en TRES FASES:
- Entrevista Personal; tiene como finalidad conocer el perfil del candidato, su afinidad con la carrera elegida y su grado de motivación para estudiar en ESIC.
- Caso Práctico o Business Case; esta prueba se centra sobre todo en la capacidad de redacción, razonamiento y de expresión que tiene el candidato y no tanto en el conocimiento o el dominio de la materia.

*En caso de no tener uno de estos requisitos de acceso a la universidad española, puedes realizar sin problema las pruebas de admisión, recuerda que dicha admisión será condicionada hasta su obtención en los plazos establecidos.
- Certificado Oficial de inglés.
(En caso de no tener certificado de inglés oficial, te haremos una prueba de idiomas interna).
*Para realizar las pruebas de admisión no será necesario tener en el momento el requisito de acceso a la universidad. En el caso de elegir un Grado Oficial, será necesario entregar el requisito de acceso a la universidad española correspondiente. En el caso de querer estudiar el Título Superior en Marketing Global, no será necesario el requisito de acceso a la universidad española.
¿CUÁNDO REALIZO LA RESERVA DE PLAZA?
La resolución de la prueba de admisión se comunica en unas 72h / tres días laborables, si la resolución es favorable, deberá ser abonada el importe referente a la reserva de plaza, y en antes de la fecha indicada. En caso de no realizar el ingreso en plazo no se podrá garantizar la plaza.
El importe de la reserva de plaza será devuelto en el caso de que el alumno no haya superado el Bachillerato, Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior o similar o la correspondiente prueba de acceso a la universidad.
YA TENGO EL REQUISITO DE ACCESO A LA UNIVERSIDAD, ¿PUEDO HACER LA MATRÍCULA?
El importe de la matricula tendrá que ser abonado una vez que el alumno tenga uno de los requisitos de acceso a la universidad (EvAU /SELECTIVIDAD, Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior, Acceso para mayores de 25 años, Acreditación UNED definitiva, Homologación del Bachillerato Extranjero definitiva). Para ello la Oficina de Atención al Alumno de Grado lo notificará al alumno con todos los pasos a seguir.

Bank financing
ESIC has financing agreements with certain banks with preferential conditions for students enrolled in any of the school's courses. The specific rules and conditions of each of these agreements can be found in the Area Secretary's Office. ESIC helps you with the financing of your degree course.
If you live outside one of the cities where ESIC has a campus and you are looking for accommodation, we recommend a number of companies and residences devoted to student accommodation. Find the one that best suits your needs.
