IF YOU ARE A STUDENT...

ESIC BUSINESS & MARKETING SCHOOL is an academic institution with several campuses around Spain, and that constantly receives admissions request from international students. We want to help you and ease your admissions process, so please read the following information and instructions.

REQUIREMENTS

If you are an undergraduate student coming from an education system different from the Spanish system, you must comply with every one of the requirements to enroll in an undergraduate program at ESIC. In this section we will carefully explain to you how to enroll in any of our programs

Remember that the academic year in Spain starts in September and ends in June, so you can plan and prepare all the required documents in time.

If you have not finished your High School, IB Diploma, A Levels, Baccalaureate, Maturitá or any equivalent academic system, you still will be able to take the Admissions Test and reserve your place. However, the required documentation will have to be presented within the established dates in order to complete the enrollment process. .

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS TO STUDY IN OUR PROGRAMS

The language level requirement must be fulfilled in order to access any of our undergraduate programs.

FOR PROGRAMS TAUGHT IN SPANISH:

  • Minimum of B2 (Spanish)

FOR PROGRAMS TAUGHT IN ENGLISH:

  • Minimum of B2 (Spanish)

FOR BILINGUAL PROGRAMS, TAUGHT IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH:

    Minimum of B1+ (English) and a B2 (Spanish)

If the student has an official language certificate obtained within the last two years, he or she will not be required to do our internal language test. If an official language certificate is not presented, the student will have to take our internal language test through ESIC Language School.

Accepted Certificates for English:

Cambridge English First, Advanced y Proficiency, IELTS. TOEFL y TOEIC.

Accepted Certificates for Spanish:

DELE B2, DELE C1 y DELE C2

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

To start the admissions process you will previously have to request a date through the Admissions Department. This can be done through email or phone.

After requesting a date, you will have to choose the campus in which you want to undertake your degree studies. The admissions process can be done online or face-to-face in any of our campuses and it consists of a personal interview, a business case study, and an English test*.

*This exam will not influence the admissions decision if the candidate is applying to a program taught in Spanish.

ADMISSIONS TEST.No previous preparation is required for the test. You will have to go to the Admissions Department of the chosen campus to take your Admissions Test.

RESULTS.We will communicate the results of the test within 72 hrs of its completion (3 business days).

The tests are taken individually from Mondays to Fridays, from 9:30 to 12:30, and from 15:00 to 17:30 (Spanish time). Remember to previously request a testing date.

After the testing date is set, a confirmation email will be sent to the candidates with information about the required documents to take the test, and the instructions to follow.

¿WHAT DOES THE ADMISSIONS TEST ENTAIL?

The ESIC admissions test can be taken either in Spanish or English, depending on the language in which the desired program is taught. Its length is around 90 minutes, and no previous preparation is required.

The admissions test is divided into four parts:

Personal Interview: Aimed at learning about the candidate, his/her interest in the degree, and how motivated they are about being an ESIC student.

Case Study or Business Case: Focused on the writing capabilities of the candidates, their reasoning and expression skills.

English Oral and Written Examination: Aimed at knowing the level of English of the candidates. Native English Speakers requesting admission to a degree taught in English will not have to take the test.

Spanish Oral and Written Examination: Aimed at knowing the level of Spanish of the candidates. Native Spanish Speakers requesting admission to a degree taught in Spanish will not have to take the test.

*To take the Certificate Program in Sales Management and Marketing, the legal requirements to access the Spanish university system are not required.

PLACE RESERVATION

If the results of the Admissions Test are positive (the test is passed) the candidates will be sent a message indicating that they will have to deposit the assigned amount for the Place Reservation before the date established. If the candidate does not deposit the Place Reservation payment before the date indicated, ESIC will not be able to guarantee the place in the program. In this message the instructions to follow to reserve the place and the following steps will be detailed.

If the candidate does not pass high school or the corresponding test to acquire the legal certificate to access the Spanish university system, they will be reimbursed the place reservation payment.

ENROLLMENT

What difference is there between Business Administration and Marketing? Are all degrees official? Are there degrees taught 100% in English? Should I take a 4 or 5-year-long degree? Many other doubts may arise while planning your undergraduate academic future. (see FAQ for more information)

Once the candidate has presented the all of the requirements, they will be required to pay the enrollment fee. The Student Services Department will notify candidates with all the information about the instructions to follow.

Enrollment period may vary depending on the ESIC campus. We recommend that you contact your preferred campus to know the exact date for this process.

ESIC has a partnership agreement with an Academic Documents Recognition and Legalization Agency whose services you will be able to access. This Agency specializes in obtaining the legal requirements to access the Spanish University System. ESIC offers this option so the candidates and future students can legalize their documents in the simplest and safest form (remember this process can take longer than expected, and if you do not present all the required documents, the legalization request can be denied).

We remind you that you need all the documents required to enter the Spanish University System in order to be able to enroll in any of our programs.

  • Students coming from European Educational Systems and China (including IB Diploma) will have to present the UNED ACCREDITATION (Acreditación UNED Definitiva) given by the Universidad Nacional España a Distancia (UNED). (Universidad Nacional Española a Distancia).

  • Students coming from the Chinese Education System that do not have their Gao Kao, would be able to present the CREDENTIAL OF HOMOLOGATION FOR FOREIGN HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport (see below).

  • Students coming from other Educational Systems apart from the previously mentioned ones will have to present the CREDENTIAL OF HOMOLOGATION FOR FOREIGN HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. This recognition is processed by MECD (Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports). (Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports).

ATTENTION: The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MECD) takes up to 6 months to process the requests, so we STRONGLY recommend that you start the process as soon as possible, so you do not have any problem with your enrollment process.

*ESIC is a private institute affiliated with different Universities. This is why the admission and enrollment of international students in any of our Undergraduate Programs will be conditioned by the requirements, rules, and fees that these Universities establish in the corresponding academic year.
*To take the Certificate Program in Sales Management and Marketing, the legal requirements to access the Spanish university system are not required. The only required academic document will be the Legalized Certificate of having passed high school or any of its equivalents.
